My dear friends I've bought 6630 ver: 2.39.15 and find out that snaps taken in low light isn't good enough or rather too much dark 😞
Other wise all functions are too cool and I like this device too much..

Does anyone of you have this problem and try to flash the device?
I want to know is that a S/W issue or H/W problem?

Please let me know..

have exatcly the same problem...same firmware...and photos in low light are a little bit wierd. anyone knows the problem?

Post an example pls.
Low light tend to be a bit crappy.
The Nokia Flash works well thou if you tend to take many low light pix.

ohhh :frown: i was hoping that version 3.45.111 solved that :con? well...i'll have to wait for the next one...

there won'T be any change cuz it is da maximum settings fo this sensor but u can stop a little with snapping to phone memory firstly. Cuz the saving time extends when u were saving in to MMc so there can be some lost pixels by the movement or vibration of your hand.

ahh Se S700i becomes better then...

After doing the setting that i told u see a little bit diffrence.

they might solve the problem by only camera firmware.

Have you tried to use a computer with T9 support to write on the forum?

:con?

7610s images are also very crappy under bad light conditions.. its no wonder the 6630 takes them almost the same way.. under bad light the picture will always be very bad.. regardless of the firmware.. please correct me if i am wrong..

No dude.. I had 7610 before this and believe me the low light shots were much better then my new 6630... The pics taken by 6630 in night mode or in low light have so much noise rather too much dark... On other hand I've seen some other forum the result of 6630 (With different firmware) in low light was pretty good ... besides that please visit Nokia site and the sample pics are much much better as compare to mine even in out door.... This is funny isn't it? Other wise the phone is too cool signals, sound, louder, etc all are wounderful... but the camera 😞 not much satisfied....

You probably already know this, but I've got to say it 'cos i'm satisfied with my pics. When you take a low light pic the preview shown is fuzzy as hell, but if you exit and go look at it in the gallery it's much better. Only irritation for me is the lag between pressing the button and getting the image...

hummm but on other hand lots of guys are claiming to have better result... but their firmware is different..

The fuzzy thing happens to me too... think that is a firmware problem cause in the gallery the pics seem to be quite good. It seems that only when you exit the gallery the phone removes some noise from the pics...or something like that. Just guessing here...

what firmware do you have?
