sometimes my snooze button doesnt appear when the alarm goes off?
any ideas as to why?

Firmware bug of some sort. The "snooze counter" does not appear reset after 5 or 6 times, if you don't reboot (power off and on again) the phone. I don't know if it has been fixed in later firmware versions. You can check your current firmware version by typing *#0000# in the standby state (where you'd normally dial a number for a call).
