Hi guys.
I'm planning to upgrade my mmc to a higher capacity. Is it safe to just tranfer all my files from the old one to the new? Or do i have to reinstall the applications I installed in my old mmc? Thanks. 😊

Just copy + paste should do the trick! No worries

I did the following:
1. Used a card reader/writer to copy the contents of my MMC to a PC
2. Formatted the new MMC in the 9500
3. Copied each folder from the PC to the new MMC using a card reader/writer
You could also back-up the old MMC using the back-up option in PC Suite and after formatting the new MMC restore to it.
On the subject of MMCs, I've heard that some people have had problems with the 9500 not recognising certains cards. Has anyone had a similar problem?
Ok. thanks! 😃
Weirdness. I got a card reader and loaded the 9500's card into it and it couldn't be read. I don't suppose it's an issue of WinXP being unable to read a card formatted by symbian right?
I have, too, a universal card-reader (MMC/SD/etc) and it did not recognise my 16MB Nokia MMC card (from my 9210), either. My first thought concerning the reason was the same: Symbian formatting... Is it so?

The Nokia 9500 recognises all the MMC`s. If it doesnt, that means you havent put the put the card correctly or closed the battery cover. The phone wont detect cards if the battery cover is not in place.
