Hi all,
I am a new member. I have a Nokia 6670 and I have purchased the ThinkOutside Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard http://www.thinkoutside.com/stowawaybt_product.html recently. But realized that the company officially does not support Nokia 6670. Since this is a series 60 phone, I hope the keyboard works with it. Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kiran.

hi,
just had a quick and cant seem to find any keyboards that expressly state they support the 7610. any help would be greatly appreciated.
if it supports a series60 device it probably will support the 7610, few days back Rafe also posted a review of a wireless keyboard.. i pretty much liked that
This works perfectly with the 6670, make sure you download the latest driver for the 6600!
It does not seem to work on the 6630 though yet.
I have the keyboard now and works with 6670 fine. However, I hate the documentation for this keyboard. They don't mention what keys on the keyboard are mapped to the keys on the phones. They only tell you how to activate the menu and close it. I was able to figure out how to activate the left selection key and the right selection key. But have no idea what keystrokes to press for the "edit" or the "pen" key and also the call and end keys.
Thanks,
Kiran.
If you go into settings you can map a lot of the keys to any apps you want.
I am not sure the pen key is supported, try emailing the support on the thinkoutside.com site. They usually reply within a day and are generally very helpful.
Let me know how you get on.
I got it to kind of work on the 6630 but all the keymaps are changed as you have to use the nokia keyb driver as the stowaway won't load.
I think if you hold shift and arrow keys Ithink that selects text which you can cut and paste.
Hi,
Yes, I have written to ThinkOutside tech support. It seems, the current average response time is four working days. I like that. They at least tell you that.
I have discovered another annoying thing with the keyboard. Let's say I am typing the text of an SMS and I want to type some numbers, holding down the LeftFunctionKey and typing the digits won't work. To get the number '1' character, I have to hold LeftFunctionKey and press the 'w' key five times. Its the LeftFunctionKey plust three times for other numbers. This is how the keys on the phone behave. Its quite annoying at times.
Kiran.
I can't say I have that problem. It might help if you check the settings on the stowaway driver. If you can turn the dictionary off. This disables predictive text which can be a pain on the typing front.
All i can think of.
