Hi All,
I'm planning on getting a 9500 this week. Can anyone tell me what headset is best to listen to the mp3's?"
I'm also wondering what happends if you listen to your music with you stereo headset and you're getting phoned. I guess you won't the phone ring....?
Thanx,

What headset for mp3 on Nokia's 9500?
When you receive a call while listening to mp3s the music will pause automatically and you can accept the call with your headset. However the music won't auto-resume once the call is ended, you'll have to do that manually.
About the headsets: I have the Radio headset HS-2R, but I'm not that thrilled about it. The bass reproduction is rather weak and the reception of the FM Radio is very bad (might be that I have a faulty unit).
There also is the HDS-3, which I heard some pretty positive things about from other users. But what's important is that it's a pop-port stereo headset, all pop-port headsets will work
I have a HDS-3 phones and confirm that the sound id pretty good with 9500, better than the sound from my older SE P800.
Thanks Ricky...
Anyone has some links with various headsets...?

I have this one:
Nokia Fashion Headset HS-3 (White)

I wanted it in black, but could not find it, so now I'm afraid to walk around using the headset, coz I might look like some b**dy g*y iPod/Apple fanatic... 😞
Anyway, the headset's sound quality is really good, but the earbuds are too big and too square for me, and actually drop out of my ears once in a while.
The wires are some strange thingeemebobs, reminds of those really really old bakelite telephone cords, or an Iron(with which you iron shirts)'s cable, they're also very inflexible, so turning your head sees the earbud pop out and stand up like an antenna (exaggerating here!)...
The wires go from the front, to connect at the back of your neck, to go forward up to your ears, but if you take the earbuds out you can have them dangling like some sort of jewellery...

The thing just after the big thing (microphone/answer-cancel-button) with the two rings on each side is a splitting thing that you put behind your neck and click together, thus having the cables go up, and back, and the rings (supposedly) keep the earbuds neatly tucked away on the front when you're not using them. A good idea in theory, especially if they would have used some different wires...
Anyhoo - I like the sound, don't like the execution of the headset very much. I'll probably be looking for another headset at some point, but for now this one will do.
BTW, for some form-over-function person this might be perfect!
just wondering, in order to listen to the mp3s are we supposed to let the pda side of the phone open at all time?.
is it possible to listen to the mp3s if the cover is closed and on standby mode (ready to receive calls, sms)?.
many thanks..
Yeah you can have the phone closed and the player carries on, both in loudspeaker mode and headset mode.
I've got the HS-3 and find that, since I mostly use them when out and about wearing my jacket, threading them behind my back and over my shoulders means that the wires are out of the way and when you take them out you can just hide them under your jacket.
I agree, though, that the white colour is annoying. Not only does it make people think you have an iPod but also attracts the attention of those who'd like an iPod but wouldn't like to pay for it...
