Hi all,
I wanna get a 9500 this week, but after surfing the net today, i been reading on different sites about an upgrade of the 9500 coming soon....
Does any one here got some info for me...?
PS. Couldn't make up my mind for a long time, now I thought I knew, and now this pops up again 😡

Nokia 9500i....?
Remember it takes Nokia sometimes 6 months before they actually release products after it is announced. It is obvious that there will be a 3G and touch screen variant at some point - but it is unlikely to be in the next few months given that the 9500 has only been available for 3 months. If you wait for the latest technology, you'll always be waiting!
There is no sense releasing or even annoucing a 9500 replacement yet, 9500i or not, annoucing a replacement product 2 months after the 9500 would kill sales of the 9500.
I wouldn't expect a direct 9500 replacement for sometime.
Thanx to you both... that makes all sense. I'll stick to my plan and I'll be buying my 9500 this week.

How long was the gap from 9210 till 9210i, less then a year from what i recall.
But that was a long time ago ... (fill in rest of star wars stuff)
What do you think would be added with the 9500i,?
T9?
Don't think 3G, since that would almost be a new phone.

I think it would also be with megapixel cam.
It was 11 months between 9210 and 9210i releases. Bear in mind though that the 9210i didn't really add anything that was worth running out and upgrading for. Release timing just seemed to be in line with people's contracts for the 9210 being up and they are able to upgrade, ooh there's a shiny new one with erm a teeny bit more memory and a firmware upgrade, do I bother?
TBH the 9500 doesn't have the limitations or problems that the original 9210 shipped with, I can't see the need for a 9500i. But if you are worried about one being released then I'd be expecting announcements in July/Aug for a device shipping in Nov, if they were to bother.
