Is there an app that will cut sound output globally?

Hey all,

the only thing I don't like about the N-Gage, is that if I have the phone set to silent mode, the games won't respect that. Some newer games actually cut the sound if you're ringer is set to off, but most of them don't.

I was wondering if there was a small, simple application out there that will mute the phones output entirely, no matter what other app is running.
