Radio for the X?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an external radio for the X? It would be good if there was a set of headphones you could buy that had a radio player on them so that when connected to the X you could run all the functions off the screen such as searching for stations etc. I guess this would mean developing a new piece of software, but essentially the reciever for the radio would be in the headphones (as it is in many headphones wiring) and the software to run and operate it would be on the phone.

If Sendo were to develop something like this, this phone would have every function we ever wanted from our phones.

Maybe I'm dreaming or Maybe there is some device somewhere that will do this. You used to be able to do this with Minidisc Players so perhaps someone may know of some headphones that they have and that they can try? Although the jack plug for the X is smaller (2.5mm as oposed to the standard 3mm?).

This would save me having to carry round my portable radio with another set of headphones.

Here's hoping - suggestions welcome.

You can get radio streaming software over GPRS, but thats about it. Ive never heard of any knd of radio dongle, sorry.

Presumably radio streaming over GPRS is quite expensive? Is this like listening to online radio stations through your phone??

Do you know what software I need and has anyone used it?

Sorry for 101 and questions!

Just goto www.handango.com and search for streaming radio. It is quite expensive since you are technically continuously downloading data. So, unless you have free GPRS, it isnt worth it.
