Thanks for posting that Hery, very interesting. However, I didn't see any generic speed improvements mentioned...?! Did I miss something...?!
Strikes as lots of tiny improvements, but nothing major to make it worth going without the communicator for a few days while waiting for the firmware update.
But will we in the UK be able to walk into a carphone warehouse (local Nokia service centre) and get the upgrade done over the counter ??
Also does the firmware upgrade process wipe the phone ??
Cheers
Don't be so hopeful bingy_bongy carphone whorehouse aren't proper service centres, the 9210 had to go of to Communicaid, somewhere in Cambridgeshire IIRC.
In which case I think I agree with your previous post about it not being worth the time without it !!
Thanx for that 😊

Having said that, I had my 9210 upgraded by Nokia - through Club Nokia - for free, they couriered it all the way - picked it up from my door, and dropped it off a few days later... 😃
Wonder if the 9500 gets the same treatment..?

Do Communicaid have a website or contact no or something. I am thinking about sending mine.
Do a search for communicaid in the 9210 section, there wll have been plenty of discussion over the matter there previously.
Although most Carphone Warehouses don't have repair facilities in-shop, the one in Oxford Street does (the really big one, just before John Lewis).
However, when I asked about 9500 firmware flashing they said that Nokia hadn't issued them with the neccesary equipment yet but that once they do, then they'd be happy to.
