Hiya,

Does anyone know of a cradle for the 9500?
I'm after something like this:

But taylor made for the 9500. I'd like to have one in the car, as it's not exactly a phone you keep in your pocket whilst driving, and I'm also looking at converting one to have somehwere near my computer, maybe between the keyboard and the screen...

Anyone seen anything like this..?

For standing it near the computer, didn't your 9500 come with the cradle that you plug the power and data leads into?

Yah, you said it; standing! I want to use the keyboard, and it's not often I need to synch the phone. But on the other hand, I might sit there developing a website and want to reload it on the 9500 to check it out.

I also can't understand why Nokia is selling 9500 hands-free car-kits, when all that's needed is a cradle that allows you to open up the lid... it's already got handsfree... d'Oh!

Im from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and to tell you all, I'm sick and tired for waiting the authorised distributor for Nokia here in Malaysia for bringing in the accessoried for this Nokia 9500.

Agreed with "TheJoker".This is not the type of cellphone we put in our pocket for driving. Finally, got tired of waiting what I did was I've custom my own car kit temporary before the the product is available here in Malaysia.

It's a combination of a "goose neck"(flexible type.usually sold in hardware shop or the electrical shop, the one used for the table lamp) and also the universal holder for cellphone (the one usually to be stick up to the dashboard with the double sided tape.)...Wallaaaaaaaaa!!! the result is excellent.I attached the photo here so that all of you can have a look how is it like.

Wonder how stiff that goose-neck thingee is... ?! Could one type on it without it disappearing into the windshield...?!

TheJoker,

Dude, it can also be place in the horizontal postion, just that I'm comfortable with that vertical position. In that vertical position i also felt it is easy to reply to all the text msgs as the combination of the holder and the goose neck is very stable and strong.

The goose neck is quite stiff, but easy to mend around according to your liking. But once it has been setup, it really gives the stability and the cellphone doesnt easy shake or fall off from the holder during driving and engine iddling when stationary. :icon14:

Cherioo~ :ciao:
