have managed to install the 6630 version of picodrive and am playing games ok. But I seem to be having problems with closing the games. Each time, it tends to crash and freeze and I end up having to take the battery out to reset the phone.
Does anyone else have this problem or have they found a good way to end the game?!

The 6630 version of Picodrive is all over eMule and there's a link to it over at the Nokiafree forums.
As for shutting it down, all I do is press C to stop emulation then scroll to Exit.
There's a small bug with the actual program, where upon launching it'll appear to have crashed, but all it needs is a press of the left softkey then select Exit and all is well. Sometimes this bug appears when trying to close Picodrive. Just press the left softkey then choose Exit from the popup menu.
I found the TMOG version in nokiafree. Thought there might be a better one.. Is that the one u use Fannypad?
Yep, the filename was "Picodrive 6630 TMOG.rar".
It runs flawlessly, full speed in every game I've tried (I'm using a 6630). Saving and loading works perfectly, so do all the screen modes. I'm just curious as to why you'd want a better version. None have fully working sound at the moment.

Cheers Fannypad. I didn't even know about pressing C. Although afterwards it still seems to hang when I go to exit. But I then just use TaskSpy to end it.
What games have people managed to get working on it? So far I've got Sonic 1, 2 and Revenge of shinobi, sonic and knuckles, Streets of rage one and two. Toe Jame and Earl.
I can't get any of the Desert strikes to work.
Downloaded lots of different versions i cant get any working on 6630 someone please help.

Can't get on emule or nokiafree sites as blocked by firewall . Or maybe there is another site with this on???

Here you go.
Be sure to follow the text file for install, basically - install the .sis then overwrite the files with the updated ones included.
works like a charm!!
Thanks very much, I was about to give up on Picodrive for this evening but that zip was perfect, managed to get it running exactly as detailed.

Dude I'm guessing you sent the .rar file to your phone, you need to use winrar to unpack the file on your PC first then follow the supplied instructions. 😉

I too get problems with freezing after/ during using picodrave
i have to take the battery out... very frustrating
maybe i'll try a different download to the sis file
