Hi there,

I really trying very hard to find a reliable WAP browser which will allow me browse wap urls using a pc. I've trie quiet a few, and the recurring theme seems to be when the WAP site I'm connecting to trys to detect the handset type. Obviously being a browser it has no real mobile chraceristics. Can anyone please tell me how I might solve this or what user agent I maybe able to input in to the browser settings (as many browsers allow you to do this) so it tricks the wap site in to thinking it is being connected to by a P900 or any colour handset for that matter ?

Please this is for the sake of one mans sanity, and hair line, which is receeding fast.

Thanks in advance
P

which wap browser gives u the opportunity to change the
"user agent"?
u need the correct string to put and the wap page will think that
the wap PC browser is a "phone browser"

The Open Wave simulator, version 7 allows you to add user agents. I think. Anyway you mentioned chnagiung the sring, I am happy to do anything that will reliably allow me to view WAP pages on my PC, is there any chnace you would be kind enough to let me know how I can do this ?

Thanks
P
