Got my Sendo Xtwo days ago. I like... little buggy... but nothing that bothers me.
Anywayz, onto to the la quiz.
I noticed when writing SMS... there's no counter for remianing characters?
But... when i click on option and then back... something in the background popps up breifly... I a counter! wohhooo! But... why da hell is it not showing at all...
Anyone that noticed this also? Kind of annoying not knowing how many SMS you're sending..
This is a recognized 'feature-lack''. The fix just missed the 60 firmware update but it will definitely be in the next firmware.
The counter is there, but it is hidden (most of the time) by the 'T9 abc' indicator.
1) Anything which causes a full screen redraw will cause it to briefly flicker into view. For example, bring up the Options menu and then Cancel it.
2) Bring up the Message details menu, and while it is open you will see the counter.
3) If you try to send a message that is longer than 160 characters it will warn you.

Do you happen to know whether the fix was included in the Vodafone firmware update released today 28th Jan?

How could it? Vodafone had the firmware for ages, and if Sendo made anymore changes Vodafone would have had to re-evaluate it. We all know how long that takes them!
