a 3g question

i was told by a vodafone rep that i had to buy a nokia 6630 from new zealand if i had to use the vodafone nz 3g network. i think i would have to disagree with that. what do you guys think?

If you�re going to buy it from Vodafone then he�s right. The locks they put on are restricted to the country. But if you buy an unlocked model then you can use it on any 3g network you like. Just don�t get a vodafone branded model.

thanks for that. i did read up a few posts on some problems with vodafone based phones sold in the uk. so if i buy a phone which is unlocked i should be fine.
