The VF firmware upgrade process

Upgraded to the new VF firmware (incidentally, it was posted after I had a whinge at Sendo for not posting it after approval). It appears to have upgraded okay (Nov release date!) but worryingly did not require any backup of data- everything remained on the handset. Did this happen with everyone else?

If it was software that you installed on your card, it would still appear on your phone.

You must have had to take the battery out of your phone after the upgrade?? White screen....?

You probably (like me) forgot to hold down the 5 button, while powering on the phone to do a hard reset (I presume).

After this you get a default phone, which you need to restore. The install docs say that if you do not do this the phone may not be stable (how you'd notice the difference, I'm not sure 😉 )
