A1000 bugs or features that just didn't make sense!

Hello,

I was wondering whether anyone has a A100 feature that you consider as a bug or one that didn't make sense. For users in the UK or Australia, you may not have any or most of these problems especially when you're a THREE subscriber. But for me, I am using the phone here in the US - bought off ebay from Australia.

Here's one such feature: When someone leaves a voice message for me, somehow instead of the "voicemail waiting" status indicator, I would get a "text message" status indicator. Clicking on the icon takes me to the message list where a blank text message always means that I received a voice message. As much as i want to have this "bug" fixed, let's just say that I've got used to it already.

But this is what bothers me. Right after i hang up from checking voicemail for any new messages, another "text message" status indicator would show up, directing me to another blank text message. First, I thought that someone might have left a voice message while I was checking it. But when I call my voice mailbox back, there were no new messages! This happens every time I check my voice mail -- always the same status indicators for a new voice message, and after checking for new messages.

This is very irritating. I wish there is a way to alleviate this problem. Has anyone ever experience this at all, especially to users in countries where THREE is not available (US????; Hong Kong??, etc.)

The other thing is evey time I put the battery back in, as soon as the gold connectors touch each other, the phone is started right away -- even if the phone is off, or switched to locked mode. I don't think it's ok to let it be the way it is... any advice?

Thanks a lot!

I'm in England, subscribed to 3, and whenever someone has left em a voicemail i get a textmessage saying i have a voicemail, rather than a voicemail message. It's always bugged me, especially as my very old nokia phone on o2 always distinguished between the two. I'm used to it now though too, it's something i'd change if i could, but i can live with it. Also with the phone starting up on battery connect, something thats quite annoying and something they could change.

I dont however have your text problem with the second blank text, nor do my 2 flatmates who are also on 3 (silly fools with their LG 8120's *evil cackle*)

Hope you get it fixed, but it doesnt seem the kinda thing they'll bother changing.

I just leave on my voicemail "please text me instead" - i save minutes that way...

Anyway, good luck.
Mitch

There is no reason Three or Motorola should fix these issues, as I think they are probably most caused by the fact that you are using the phone on a foreign network that doesnt support the A1000.
