Its the HS801 model. Where can i get a list of headsets that will work?

as i know there is no list of working or nonworking headsets.... its always the best ask befoe you buy something... in the case of bluetoot technology the most important thing for compatibility is the supporting of the same profiles in the device and headset,or any othe BT aqupped accesory 😃
for headsets there are two profiles/handsfree and headset/ and not all headsets or phone are supporting both of them 😃
Nokia Series 60 phones so far (excluding the 7650) have required Bluetooth Handsfree profile support from the Bluetooth headset. In other words, those headsets that only support Bluetooth Headset profile will not work. Most Bluetooth headsets support both profiles (only the first Bluetooth headset, or the first versions of them, on the market, as far as I know, had only support for the Headset profile).
Hi Glineli:
I also have the same BT headset, the MOTO HS801.
You must firstly place the headset into pairing mode, in order for the Nokia 6630 to detect the device in the first place. Not sure if you have done this.
To place the BT headset into pairing mode, hold down one of the volume keys and the big talk key (silver button) on the headset. Hold it down for 4 seconds and the Blue LED should flash on and off.
On your Nokia 6630, you will need to add a new device, and it should pick up your HS801 headset. You will need to type in 0000 to pair the device. Also, on ur Nokia 6630, ensure that the headset is set to authorised.
That should pair your headset.
I have successfully paired the same headset, though my phone doesn't appear to pick up the voicetags very well. I have to press the Moto BT headset up to 10 times for it to recognise the voice tag. I don't know why. It's not sensitive enough or its too sensitive to background noise. My previous phone, SE Z600, was near flawless when using the voicetag feature.
Anyways, hope my instructions helps. It would help if some of the forum readers actually read ppl's queries and actually helped them by offering suggestions. After all, thats what forums like this are for. It's not very helpful if ppl just say its not compatible or that some headsets have different profiles etc.

Got it working alright. To set the headset into searching mode i had to hold down the volume key for 4 seconds, and then the phone picked it up.
Cheers again
