SMS and phone numbers

Hello,

when reading an SMS that contains phone numbers (ie a message notification from the service provider regarding missed calls when the phone was turned off) the number is highlighted and there is an option to click on it an call. Actually, that is a way to find out to whom the number belongs to, since if it belongs to your contact list, the number is identified when calling.
I would like to know if there is an SMS handling software that can match that number (inside the SMS) with the one in your phonebook and just provide you with the contact who called you. That will same enough time... 🙄
Any ideas please?

Thanks and regards

As long as the sender's name is in your Contacts database, you should be able to see the name of the person sending you the sms.

Hi zerimar,

the problem is not that i cannot see the name of the person sending the SMS, but that i cannot see the name of the phone-numbers that are included in the sms (and are inside my phonebook). They are just highlighted enabling you to call the number and then realize that they are included in the phonebook. A smart SMS handling would recognize the numbers and match them with the names on my phonebook, but i havent found any such application so far... :frown:
