How Do You Do It?

Hey, how do you play MP3's, WMA's, OGG's or WAV's as ringtones for the
Nokia N-gage QD? Either as a ringtone is fine for me.

Use Windows Sound Recorder to convert your .wav to a lower bit-rate. No need to download any new software.

1. Open Sound Recorderfile
2. Load your .wav file
3. Select 'File menu, then Properties, then click 'Convert Now...'.

Settings:

Format: PCM
Attributes: No more than 16,000khz, Mono (QD can't play any higher bitrate, or in stereo, so no point in making the file any bigger than it needs to be).

4. Save .wav

Ok, but how do you use the AMR file as a ringtone in the N-Gage QD. do you put it in a folder somewhere? What do you do?

Put it in the DIGITAL SOUNDS FOLDER found in the mmc or phone memory.
