I have a Thai model of the Nokia 6670 that works ok. Unfortunately, the Predictive Text Input feature does not appear to be available in the Thai version, even when typing English text. Traditional Text input works fine. I want Predictive Text input, so I think I need to load the English only version of the (firmware, OS, ???) or something. Can anyone reply with useful comments about how I can do this?
My local (Manila) Nokia Care Center does not yet have the firmware or OS for the 6670. Can I do this myself? The unit came with a USB PC to Phone cable that can transfer files from PC to phone. Can I use this cable to reload the OS or firmware, or whatever it is I need to do to convert this phone from Thai, to English only?
Thanks in advance.
You can't do it legally (because the firmware files are not publicly available, except to authorized Nokia service centers) yourself, nor without expensive equipment (the USB cable is not enough). Ask your local (Manila) Nokia Care Center to use their support channels to get a suitable firmware version.

I don't have a translator, and I have been on the lookout....let me know if you found/find one, and I will do the same.

Oh, and I have a Thai 7610 and the predictive text input works as well as it should. I bought it at MBK (Ma Boon Krong) on Rama 1.
Aloha !
After some Googling I found a cute app. It is open source and is sooooooooooo cute 😃
You can find it at : http://project-ile.net/lulu/leklekdict/ :icon14:
I have tried it on my Nokia 6630 and it works. The only thing I can't figure out : How can I switch from English to Thai input....

That is the greatest little program. Wish it did a phonetic translation as well.
