The Nokia headsets supported by the 6630 are listed here:

Its the Nokia HDS-3. It worked fine last week, when i got the phone and was just tryin it out last nite and i get that message. in the meantime i have got the wireless headset working. would that make any difference???

Shouldn't make a difference, if the wireless (Bluetooth) headset is not connected when you try to connect the HDS-3 (actually, I think then the wireless headset is just disconnected automatically).

Perhaps the headset is broken (does it work in another, somebody else's phone)? Check the headset connector/pins that they're not broken.

In the worst case, the phone could be broken, if it no longer accepts the headset. Do you have some other Pop-Port headset that you can try?

Cheers. I just tried the headset in another phone and it doesnt work. one of the pins looks shorter than the others so its back to the shop i reckon!!!

thanks for your help

Gday all

I got a new headset yday and plugged into the phone, and worked sweet. then charged up the phone, and way hay it didnt work again. must be a problem with the phone itself or any ideas??
