Yeah.. Use the keyboard! That's what it's there for! 😊

T9 would only be good for one-handed-writing, and if you can't use both hands, maybe you shouldn't be using the phone anyway (please tell me you're not texting while driving..!)

T9 is really that much of a deciding factor? Hell I remember when I got one of the first T9 phones, no-one wanted one as it was "crap" and "you can't type a text with that"....

No it's not just the T9 missing , overall im not to impressed with the 9500 , i wish i hadn't sold my p900 now.
It seems a very slow ui and multi media side of things is pretty lame, realplayer is rubbish,no mp4.
Got a bargain but now regret it 😊

Agreed, I think Nokia has made a mistake not to make the 9500 more "leisure-friendly" - multimedia, web, and other functions are what sell the P800, P900 and P910i... that you can use it for business means that you can get the company to pay for it...

... 9500 is too much business only... too bad - I'm still pinning my hope on that they'll release a software update that makes it faster and adds some more fun to the device.

I still love the hardware tho!

I would like T9 on the phone side as well, but I would definitely not consider it a deciding factor when you have such an excellent keyboard.

I still think comparing the communicator line to the P-series is rather ridiculous. Dismissing the 9500 because of the lack T9 and less than great video playback just goes to show that the 9500 was never meant for you in the first place.

I owned a P800/P900 for a year and half and the only thing I miss a little is having a jog dial for scrolling down eBooks and web sites. Although the Pxx is better for video playback (who actually uses that for anything other than showing off anyway?) and viewing pictures, I find the 9300 to be miles ahead in all the areas that really matter, for me, - like text input/viewing/editing, web browsing, messaging etc. It is also just as good as the Pxx when it comes to MP3 playback - which I use a lot.

And I don't miss having a touch screen at all, especially now that SymbianWare has released PowerDesk - which lets you assign a bunch of actions/applications to keyboard presses. I have almost every application mapped to a keyboard key(s) as well as many actions like writing a new SMS, turning the backlight to 'always on', switching tasks, new memo, go directly to a predefined web site, etc., etc. All in addition to the already large arsenal of keyboard shortcuts. I love the software side just as much as the hardware. Most of the default apps in S80 are also much more advanced and useful than the UIQ counterparts, IMO. Just take something like HTML e-mail which the 9500/9300 handles like a charm, while the Pxx messaging app doesn't support it at all (or only basic text formatting - P910) and often makes it crash. Not to mention the excellent file manager with access to system files and a Find function, having a scientific calculator, full office, ability to make a backup to the MMC, great Contacts app, Clock, SettingsWizard and many more cases where it makes UIQ look like a toy UI in comparison. The 9500/9300 really is just so much more capable out-of-the-box than the Pxx, IMO.

Your right as i stated in the above post , it isn't for me , a big mistake and now finding it hard to sell :frown:
