Hi folks,
Has anyone else noted poor reception/poor batter life and numerous buggy issues with their Nokia 6630, especially for those using V3.45.111? (At least it doesn't reboot or crash :P)
One of my colleagues uses a Nokia 6600 and is on the same network as myself, Vodafone AU. Side by side, his Nokia 6600 consistently displays higher bars than my Nokia 6630 in various parts of the office. I hope its just a firmware issue that can be resolved when a new one gets released. Anyone else notices the same thing? Even my Sony Ericsson Z600 has better reception than this damn phone!!!!!!
As for battery life, I only seem to get 3 days battery life out of the phone. I have discharged it 3 times and only seem to get marginal battery life. Again, i only hope its a firmware problem. This is with marginal use and with BT enabled.
Another issue i've noted is the call duration timer whilst a call is in progress. To describe it, you would normally see the name of the caller, or a display of the telephone number, however, on my Nokia 6630, the timer counter text is directly on top of the call display, therefore, all you see is rubbish! :P You can just barely see text behind the counter display :P and yes, i've formatted the phone, reset it to factory defaults and yes it still comes back.
Does anyone else have these issues on the same firmware? Man, i can't wait till they release a new firmware!!!! This phone is damn buggy!!!!! otherwise, it would be a fantastic phone!
Cheers,

Definitely my phone doesn't have all those problems but it has an earlier firmware version and it suffers from spontaneous reboots (not very often but still annoying).
One thing you shouldn't complain is battery life! Try using it on a UMTS network and 3 days will be a dream!!

Nutzu: I bought the Nokia 6630 from HK this Jan 26 and yes it has the chinese language package. I've currently set it to English text. I'm hoping that Nokia Care Australia will flash the phone and upgrade it to the ENglish text package and hopefully remove all the bugs in the system such as poor reception and battery life.
Cheers

I bought N6630, but something is definetelly wrong. Battery goes out in less than 24 hours without using its options. Just few calls and text messages. I've took it to the service center, but if the battery life won't be at least 2 days, I don't know what to do. Does anyone have the same problem?
hi guys if you are using the nokia 6630 on three then get the phone firmware upgraded to RM-1_dp_v_6.02_MCUSW4.050318. if you hanset is generic and you dont use it on three then get it upgraded to 3.45.113 then go to tools menu and turn off dual mode for network selection off this causes the handset to stop rebooting itself....
