I have installed some applications in my phone that can't seem to work, but when i try to delete these applications, i keep getting the message 'Unable to delete...'.
So now I'm stuck with a lot of non-working applications in my phone.
Any ideas on how to get rid of them (other than resetting the phone)?

go into Tools, Manager
you delete them from there.
thanks for the tip, I've tried that before and it works for some, but I have a few others that even after I've deleted them in Manager, their icon still appears in my menu.

Have you tried using FE explorer? You can try to find file/folders pertaining to the app. and then deleting them. You may possibly delete some needed files, but if you are careful, you should be ok. In any case your other option anyway is to format/reset the phone, losing all data.
