I tried to connect via the phone connection link to the p910iphone in the usb cradle.
The links makes connection with com 7 or com 10 but after a few seconds a runtime error occurs and microsoft comes up with a message to send the details to them and then the com link disappears in the phone connection link. I tried everything Gonzo said in his mail about the P900 but I stilll get the same failure every time.
Can anybody help me ? :icon14:

Have you tried reinstalling the software on your computer?

I think the following steps would help you out :
1. Unplug your base station
2. Uninstall the SE software
3. Restart your computer
4. Install SE software (do NOT plugin the base station)
5. Restart the computer
6. Plug in the base station
Now you'll have to wait for Windows to detect all the ports on the base station, give it a few minutes. You should be good to go after this.

After installing I get a
fatal exemption (thread 00001912),
access violation
and then the start up menu where you can give the phone a name and after that you can choose for connection settings but this menu does not appear.
After that the same runtime error MFC runtimeapllication error apears and no cennection can be made

I tried this myself and it works okay. Make sure that when you uninstall the SE PC suite that you get rid of all of it. Windows doesn't necessarily uninstall everything...check under your program files listing for any files left behind and remove them manually.

I uninstalled everything even the dss synchronisation files en tried to install the software with the usb on when installing and several times with the usb cable off. The phone connection recognizes the phone for a few seconds but then gives a fatal error and after that microsoft comes up with a MFC apllication runtime error and you can see the link disappear in the phone connection link screen.

Not sure what your problem is then...I have same setup but not getting the problems you are having.
Only other thing I can think of is AV/firewall progs...but they should register (the new progs) when you set-up OK, when installing new software. Just check that you are only running one Firewall, as SP2 automatically starts the Win XP firewall.
Anone else any ideas?

Be sure to log off/shutdown your DSL/Cable device if your closing down your own firewall...or were you running the Win XP Firewall AND McAfee Firewall?

I had both firewalls running. When I synchronize the agenda, tasks, adresbook and sync do alright but after synchronisation mail I get a DXP PIM module error. After that I get the message, Synchronisation finished.
The data from agenda and tasks and adresbook are synchronized in both direcions. But I dont get the email messages the he p910i.
Do you know a solution ?

Firstly, only use one firewall...then can conflicta nd use a fair amount of system resources. I recommend the third party one as Im not convinced about Microsofts security upgrades.
From my limited knowledge (I've only used the P910i for about 1 month now), it appears that you have to have MS Outlook set as the default mail client, and from other messages on the forum, that there are sync problems associated with the P800/900/910. Im not even sure if email will upload anyway. I use my own mobile email account - my ISP allows multiple email addresses, so I've created one specifically for my P910i, and advised my friends/colleagues accordingly.
Sorry I cant be of more help. Maybe some of the more experienced folks here can help - or search the FAQ/Stickies.
