Help really needed with Bluetooth

I am aware some BT threads have been posted but I havent found this simple problem among them and I would be grateful for any help.

I of course have the 6260 and a dongle for my laptop. However, although I can easily transfer files from phone to pc I cannot do it from PC to phone. It simply comes up with

"The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.

If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed."

Ive reinstalled Nokia PC suite and everything but nothing seems to be working.

Any ideas?

that is exactly what happens with me although i can get incoming connections to work on the pc for example control freak, i can easily use that without no problems and also can use bluestreamer but cannot send a file to the pc and get the same meesage as raptor

Try to disable and the re-enable IrDA dongle at Device Manager. Then restart the "Infrared Monitor" service (Control Panel > Aministrative Tools > Services). This works for me

raptor,

what is the colour of your bluetooth icon?if blue and white,it means you'tre using windows bluetooth, not Dongle. Dongle should have blue and red coloured icon (when off), and turned to blue and white (when on).

if you are using windows xp, go to device manager and check wheather the driver installed is correct (dongle).windows tend to install the driver for usb product automatically. even the adapter can work,it will have some conflict like in your case.as for the file transfer wizard, right click on the bluetooth icon and select 'receive file'.this should work.

alternatifely, you can try reinstall the driver and do it all over again but MANUALLY!

hope this can help.
