P800 Crashing on a Regular Basis

Hi there,

I'm new to this site and ever hopeful that someone out there knows a thing or two as to why the P800 crashes on a regular basis (daily!).

It seems to me that the phone will crash (ie flashing yellow triangle with "!"😉 if the phone is without a network signal for a prolonged length of time. I could be wrong of course, but it is my observation. I have a pretty poor network signal at my house and if I leave it on my desk, it usually crashes within an hour or so. However, if I switch the phone to flight mode, it will stay alive!

Does anyone have any ideas on this? Is there a piece of software running on the phone that is dependent on a network signal, which could be diabled?

Or are my observations wide of the mark anyway?!

FYI, I've reset the phone to its factory setings and not installed any other software, so it's running straight out of the box... And still isn't happy!

Thanks for reading...

Andy
