Please can someone help me - has anyone successfully managed to get GPRS working with their Sendo X on o2 pay monthly (pre pay - not PAYG)? I have not managed this despite numerous attempts. I have had the settings sent to me by o2 and have sent them myself from the Sendo website link.
I have contacted o2 twice and asked them if im GPRS activated (and i am). I have been through the settings from top to bottom - inlcuding the advanced settings for GPRS and set the port to both 9201 and 8080 with no luck. Am i missing something? I have also updated the firmware. Id be grateful for any help!
Sendo provide a nice OTA ( Over The Air ) configuration tool on there website .. Here
It will send you an SMS with all the required settings, simply accept it and it "should" work ...

I cant even get the Wap to work over GPRS, which im so far deeply unimpressed about. Could you possibly tell me what you did or send me your settings?
Thanks GSM, been there done that - doesnt work.
Is it actually possible to surf the WWW using an HTML browser such as Opera with the Sendo ??? If so can we have Network name, Network settings and any other magic ingrediant please.
If not what phone is actually capable of this but still has a good amount of memory?
I suspect qubit's problem isn't so much the phone configuration if they downloaded from http://www.sendo.com/config as these work fine, i suspect that O2 haven't enabled qubit for GPRS access. If you intend to use Opera over GPRS you also need to have O2 enable GPRS full internet access and configure internet from the afore mentioned site.
WAP access - WAP settings from http://www.sendo.com/config and GPRS WAP enabled account with O2
HTML full internet access via Opera browser - Intenet settings from http://www.sendo.com/config and GPRS full internet access enabled account with O2

Qubit / Xray: Dolphin74 is perfectly right. There is probably nothing wrong with the configuration of your phone. The problem is that the current access point that is set on the phone probably only allow WAP-surfing. You need to have set an access point where the phone, which the phone can access content from. You need an Internet Acces point to surf proper internet sites. You may also surf WAP-sites through such a connection, but through a dedicated WAP connection you may only access WAP content (thus Opera and Netfront wont work).
Here is a list of Internet access point, maybe you can use the O2 one?
http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/docs/connect/
See if you can use some of them. If you still cant get internet surfing to work, it might be that your phone subscription does not allow access to internet content. Some providers seem to limit the content accessible to the least expensive subscriptions, while charging a lot for subscriptions that does allow accessing the full internet.
By the way, the fact that you have got a GPRS connection running has unfortunatley nothing to do with what content you can access. It is all down to the access point.
Xray: Surfing the net with Opera on the Sendo X works (maybe not like a dream) but quite OK.
Thanks for replies all. I eventually got through to a technical 'expert' who managed to sort me out. Apparently my GPRS wasnt enabled correctly even though they kept telling me it was. MMS and WAP over GPRS now works fine. I may try web access sometime when im feeling bold! Cheers!
