Agile, IM+, eMSN, X-messenger etc QUESTION

right ok, i aint got clue whats going on, i get yes form some people and no from others...right heres what i want to do/ wondering if i can do it.

phone model : NOKIA N-GAGE
Network : O2 pay and go
Access point : O2 wap gprs (wap.o2.co.uk)

Ok i have been trying to get an instant messenger program to work for bloody ages, so far everyone fails to connect. :frown: I dont know what sort of connection i need, i just dont know if i have wap or gprs or what. :con?
I basically need to know firstly if i can use an instant messenger program and secondly how. I really need this badly, im going on holiday in the next few days.
Any help will be accepted with extreme gratitude. thanx a million! 😃

Same problem with me. None of Agile messenger or IM plus works on my set inspite of having GPRS.

Same problem with me. None of Agile messenger or IM plus works on my set inspite of having GPRS.

First, make sure you can use an internet connection (APN: internet or similar) instead of a plain WAP/MMS connection.

Second, your provider may be blocking the IM ports. IM+ lets you change the port, so try something like port 80. IM+'s menu is problematic on my N-Gage and it costs money, so unless you have to change the port, otherwise Agile Messenger is much better.
