Hey i was a big time n-gage user and i had a lot of programs for it... can somebody on here please help me with the 3300 i just got? I know its not the right place but anything could help... could i watch videos on it ? what can i download to make it better? Just anything would be appreciated, thanks a lot- Matt

MIDP 1.0 Java apps or so called midlets (esp. those written for "Nokia Series 40"😉 should work (they are very limited in what they can do, and watching videos is probably among the most unlikely to be useful/acceptable). As it is not a Symbian OS based phones, not much about that phone here, I'm afraid.

Just curious: Why did you sell a more functional phone for a so much more limited device?

i didnt want to do it but i needed some cash so i sold it a month ago for 200 dollars... My friend gave me his 3300 for 15.00 he was getting rid of ... so yea why not 😊

can i have a link for the java software you speak of please ?

Videos can be played on the 3300, however, they are java videos and are poor quality and have no sound. Only some series 40 phones can play good videos such as 6230.

As for java games, try your serivice provider's WAP pages or another WAP site.

does anybody else have anything, i mean ANYTHING at all to make this phone cooler or just plain better or to get a better user experience... anything would be appreciated, thank you ! 😊

Not much you can do on a Java OS, its not a smartphone like n-gage, qd, 3650, 6600 etc. so ur limited, there mite b various ways, but i dnt kno any.

Just a suggestion tho, try any java forums if they exist. A 3300 is Java, not symbian

Hey just figured it out. Find java games just search google for java games for 3300 and then move the .jar and .jam (i think) anyway move both files for one game into the applications folder. then go to extras, then memory card (scroll down), then install application (again scroll down), choose the app. when it is installed check your applications for the game. pretty easy.
