I purchased a Kingmax/Hitachi 1GB MMC high speed 60X to see if the 6620 would read and write to it. After installation and power up, File Manager gave me a "Corrupted Card" message. Is there anyway to get the 6620 to recognize and use the card? Is it a hardware issue or a software issue? Could I do damage to the phone or card?
thanks,
mhpaperboy
i read somewhere on this forum (i think it was the sticky above) that the some 6600's dont read mmc's over 128mb.i dont know whether its the same with the 6620 on this issue. Read the sticky maybe theres something that can help on there 😊
also have you tried formatting the mmc on the phone.thats what you have to do to use it on the phone so it installs the system files.
I've got a kingmax from new egg and a 6620, I formated the card using the phone and it seems to be working fine.
I have a 6620, old firmware V 2.14.1 28-06-04 NHL-12.
It reads my TOPRAM 1GB MMC but frequently locks up the phone, white screen, and I then have to take the battery out to reboot.
I read here http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=472408 or here http://www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/514055-1.html that might be a firmware problem.
The newest firmware is V 4.22.1 25-11-04 NHL-12 according to that forum. What firmware do you have mhpaperboy and SptRR99 (to check use *#0000#)? What is your MMC size SptRR99?
I have a 1 gb Kingmax and the 2.14 firmware. Every couple of days maybe 1 per 2 weeks I'll get a white screen but that may be do to some of the software that is running. Mp3 playback is fine, except when i get a call, sometimes it locks up or when I recieve email. I have a program that runs in the backgroud called Smartner Duality that is an always on email connection or a push email system that disrupts mp3 playback, most of the time it doesn't lock up but I would like to get the new firmware cause I hear that it fixes those issues with large mmc's
