M$ phone OS is "way, way, way behind Nokia"

Following the release of the new M$ rival to the 7650, I happened across an interesting article at The Register. Much talk has been made about the new M$ smartphones. El Reg aren't impressed, nor are they impressed by the rave reviews, finally a level headed opinion. The quote in the title is from Bill Gates himself as mentioned in the article (guess he can't bear to say Symbian).

Bill Gates is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Him and Ballmer together are a good cop - bad cop act. Steve comes in all bald and heavy handed with a mouth the size of a black hole, and then Billy boy is the nice, affectionate lad who apologises for Steve and tries to come across all reasonable, appealing to the human side of the people he speaks to.

Trust neither of them, don't be fooled!

Be Careful,

If you don't at least try to make it look like you are giving M$ a fair hearing, they will start refering to this site as the "Symbian Fan Girl Site" in the same mould as PocketPC Thoughts 😃

Just read an article over at infosync.

I thought the bit at the end was quite funny.

"To round up things, and since I know I'm going to be grilled on this very point by some of you, dear readers, I thought I'd let you know what Microsoft's Juha Christensen said during the SPV launch event just to show you that you're not alone. Apparently, Juha (according to himself) managed to reply to a total of 250 e-mails on his SPV during a day spent at the recent CTIA fair - choosing that solution over a connected handheld of some sort with a proper input solution.

I have two things to say to that: First; that has to be a world record. And Juha, my friend - Masochist Magazine will be calling you for an interview shortly."

Clearly the dark side has fully taken hold of the former Symbian man. 😃

It is possible to run up 250 text strings in a day (have uou seen 14 year olds doing SMS? I barely get that sort of speed while playing Hyper Sports!), but I doubt they would be huge, in depth emails, more like short replies from a clipboard.

Perhaps

250 emails? No problem - I belive him.

250 emails with meaningful contact, addressing business points and market strategy?

Maybe he's the gett who's been spamming my e-mail account with offers for more hair, more appendage length, more money, more women, more boobs and more stamina?
