omegax can you explain how did you set your connection and your phone access point to establish the connection to the web via USB?

Sure:
1. Goto Settings | Connection | Access Points
2. Select Options | New access point | Use default settings
3. Use following settings:
Connection name: Whatever you want
Data bearer: GPRS
Access point name: localhost
User name: Leave blank
Prompt password: No
Password: Leave blank
Authentication: Normal
Gateway IP address: 127.0.0.1
Homepage: Whatever you want
Connection security: Off
Session mode: Perminant
That should be all 😊
Its not possible with the usb cable.
However there are plenty of sites around explaining how to connect 3650's/6600's to the web using BT. Everything on those sites are relevant and should work on the X. I've seen it working this way.
Well it obviously is possible because ive been doing it 😊
OmegaX - You look to know what your talking about ( after reading your previous posts )
Im struggling to get internet access through either my USB cable of BT adaptor.
I can sync and install apps using both connections, run and connect with agile messenger, even sycn Avantgo ! - But i just cant get the web access to work through either ! ( and its driving me mad )
Ive made a new access point and entered the settings you describe above. My sendo then flashes the "G" ( for GPRS ) when i try to access a page but then it looks like it times out and returns to the default homepage ( sendo one ).
Any advice / help you can give ( or anyone else 😊 ) would be greatly recieved.
Kind Regards
G
Settings:

Access point name: P4
User name: None
Prompt password: No
Password: (****) blank

Gateway IP address: 0.0.0.0
GPRS Settings

Note: P4 is the BT connection name on my PC
Im using the standard SendoX web application
The web access is all a little bit dodgy when uising the USB cable, but pages should still load at broadband speeds 😊
All i can suggest is that you make sure that the mRouter program is allowed net access via your firewall. If that doesnt change anything, try changing your Gateway IP to 127.0.0.1 and username to localhost and see if it improves.
iuupiiii just made it.
Tkx omegax all the settings were ok except the one for the Gateway IP address.
Instead of 127.0.0.1 i had to see the one in my pc. I ran ipconfig from the command line and that pointed me to my PC Default Gateway.
Also i had to enable the option in my PC internet connection to allow other network users to connect through my internet conn.
Every 5 min. the connection drops but apart from that it works great.
This worked for me too after I installed the new firmware . It was not working with the old firmware that I had before.
Has anyone managed to get internet access via bluetooth??
yes - when i was running bt on my pc i was able to use the "passthrough" option for services like agile messenger and profimail. i did not try to do any browsing that way as the internal phone app would not "see" the bt connection.
Mordred 660 - how did u setup the bluetooth internet connection for agile messenger??
Can u please give the settings or instructions.
Thanks
there are no real settings to get agile to work per say. when you first open agile (providing you do not have it set to auto connect at startup) you will see the connection button. scroll through and select "passthrough". that is about it.
this is of course assuming that you have bt connectivity between your pc and your X.
you have PM
i do not have a passthrough option. what version of Agile messenger are u running?
I am running version 3.58.

I am running version 3.58.
i run 3.13 or 3.30 and i am surprised that you have nopt experienced the "charging bug". does your X charge normally when turned off or does it cycle itself through the boot process?
you still have PM
bhrij,
you need to downgrade to one of the versions i mention and you will have the passthrough option as well as not having the charging bug. i will search for the thread where this can be had in a moment.
edit: you can find it here http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/37094/&highlight=agile+mordred
mas has it posted in post #3
Thanks Mordred 660, the charging animation now shows up. However the passthur option does not work for me. The problem is that mRouter will not connect to my X via bluetooth. The software provided with the USB dongle works fine, its just mRouter.
I have tried mRouter 3.1 and the version provided with PC Connect with no success.
Thanks again.
bhrij,
like i said below - you will only see the passthrough option if you actually have bt connectivity between your phone and pc. i had bt working a while back but have since given up on it in favor of the usb connection.
