Apple USB connection

Hi I've just got a SendoX and the iSync works great with my Powerbook. However, the software CD that came with my phone does not seem to be working with my Mac. Therefore I can't upload the Sendo software to the Mac which would enable me to get a USB connection from the Mac to the phone. I'd like to sort this out so I can transfer files like MP3. Can anyone give me some advice?

Cheers,

Ssl

My advice would be to find somebody with a PC who will do it for you. I'm a fellow Mac user, but I have to use a PC at work (at least some of the time) and that is where I installed the upgrade. I can't imagine Sendo supporting the Mac any time soon - they're too busy making a reliable phone to support a minority OS.

iSync works well for me, with the usual annoying restriction that notes aren't copied over, but it's a shame that Series 60 users can't make calls or send messages via the OSX Address Book.

I'm afraid I don't know a lot about macs but do know that syncing mp3s to the phone (via pc) is not particularly quick. I use a card reader on my pc (USB2) to copy files straight to the memory card. Much easier - especially if you are rotating 800 mb of songs each time. Easier to organise too.

best

MEOW!

I know that Sendo have done quite a lot of work with Apple on the X (I don't know quite what, or in which area) but it might be worth asking Kev or one of the other Sendo guys if they can tell you any more Apple-specific info... 😉

Thanks for this. I'll try and use a PC for upgrades etc. I'll also try and get a firewire connection for the music stuff. I'll also look out on the forum for mac related chat.

Much appreciated,

Ssl.
