s60 phone as microphone for pc over bluetooth

Hi !

I was wondering if there is a piece of software for s60 that i could use my phone as my pc's microphone, and as a speaker too. So I could handle calls in skype without hasseling with my separate microphone and speakers (or headphones).

So it's just about audio streaming over bluetooth, right ? But is there such a software already ?

Jukka

If it supports the Headset profile (6630 does not sure about the others) it will connect to the Audio Gateway on the pc and you can just use normal inputs and outputs.

Other than that you will need a phone/BT Adaptor that has a Headset/Handsfree profile and a feature to use the pcs inputs and outputs. MOST have the Audio Gatway service but the 6630 is the first S60 ive seen that can actually use it.

Hello? You guys just talking something real interesting. I am using Nokia 6600, may I ask? Beside N6630... can N6600 do that too? What is headset profile in 6630? And how to check if N6600 have that?

Thanks

It would seem not the 6600 only supports I think the Handsfree Profile and I cant connect to the Audio Gateway from my 6600.

The 6630 afaik supports both Headset and AHndsfree Bluetooth Suite meaning you just connecto to your pc from the paired devices and it will use you pc as a Headset on incoming and outgoing calls.

You can use a software named "Mobiola Microphone" for using your S60 phone as a mic/speaker. It support USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection. Just do a google search for it.
