18mm thick, Support for miniSD, 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x Digital Zoom, charging over USB sync cable, triband support... meet the Sendo X2. At only 95 gramms, and only 85 cubic centimetres, we're talking small, powerful, and desirable. It plays heavily into the hands of the audiophile with both MP3, AAC and AAC+ audio file support. The Sendo Now! screen (still with exclamation mark) makes the phone just as desirable to networks as well, with its customisation possibilities. Luckily Rafe and Ewan are meeting the Management of Sendo later today, so if we can distract them long enough, we'll bring one home with us. Full specs and pictures can be found on the Sendo X2 Device page. ClarificationThe X2 runs Series 60, v1.2, using Symbian OS 6.1.
Sendo X2 Announced
Nice 😊
It's basically an updated X, with I suspect almost identical hardware. Will be interesting to see which version of S60 it runs.
It's running Series 60 version 2

EXCELLENT ! 😊
Looks good.
I was thinking of getting an X but may hold out for this assuming the shipping doens't get put back another 2 years. 😉
Not sure the miniSD is a good idea though. The advantage of full size is most people don't have to buy new cards for every device.
Having spoken to Sendo the Series 60 version is 1.2 not 2.0 (despite what Nokia said in an earlier Series 60 press conference). It does have Sendo extensions and these have been added to and tweaked (e.g. the music player as a Now! screen plugin). Otherwise UI wise it looks very similar to an X. Theme support is defintely go to be in it (along with a tool to convert from Series 60 2.0 themes).
The phone itself has some very nice touches, and the reduction is size is particular noticeable (i.e. it doesn't look like it ate all the pies). Also the sync and charging is now all done through a mini usb port. There's no flash, but its not as necssary since the camera does much better in low light conditions. Music playback is stereo via headset, but is impressive even on loudspeaker (and even better if you connect it to speakers). If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer them.
How about fm radio on sedndo x2?
I'm afraid not, looking at the specs. A real shame, since it claims to be a "music phone".
Rafe
Have they been touting any release dates for the UK?
thanks
This unit will under go a month of testing in comming months.
I have not heard any release dates yet..... It was only announced yesterday!
Infosyncworld says this:
The Sendo X2 will be available in Europe during this summer, while pricing will depend on operator.

Sendo are commencing a month of intensive testing on a new product next week! It's most likely that this product is indeed the X2.
Pity it's still Series 60 1.2, but this makes sense, as the platform is essentially the same as the X.

Im sure there is a device running Symbian 9 & Series 60 v3 in the pipeline.....
I'm sure there is too...we're just not allowed to know about it yet!

What kind of connector is it to the headset? 2.5mm ?
Yes, standard 2.5mm withmic support, but a 2.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack means you can use your own head[phones.
Ok, sounds nice. I suppose that the memoryslot is under the battery and not hot-swappable?
and do you know anything about the dimensions exept thickness? Would a guess around 110*45*17 be somewhat accurate?
I'll ping Sendo for exact dimensions. It looks very close to teh MS C500 SPV. As to the Mini-SD, it's under the battery, but at the bottom edge, so it is accessible and it is hot swappable.
Definately seems to be between 10 and 11 cm long.
