Hello there,
this morning I noticed that my 9210i was frozen, 😞 but only the phone side. The PDA was working fine. Since I had no other choice I have removed the battery. THE PHONE IS DEAD SINCE THEN :x , it's like there is no battery attached! The battery seems to be ok, I suspect this is a firmware problem.
Anybody else with the same 'experience'? Does anybody know something more?
Thank you very much for your time! 😊
Try putting the phone in the charger. This should trigger some response.
Try with and without the battery.
Good luck!
I have already try it! No responce... IT'S DEAD.
Actually I worry very much for my data because I think I will loose them after a firmware upgrade. Is that correct? Anybody else who did this have lost his data? Is there a way or a program/utility to backup only the data (contacts, calendar entries, dasktop files, mail accounts etc)
Thanks again!
If you are lucky your data will be safe. They can backup your data at the service center.
This sometimes happens to mine when I am out when I dont have a charger at hand so I use the other method. Take the battery out and short the pins out on the phone with a coin for a few seconds. Then put the battery back in and start as normal.
Nemopics.
When you have a charger with you and try to charge it while is dead, this brings it back to life? Because I have try to charge it but nothing...
Now my 9210i is at the nokia service center, so I can not try your suggestion but thanks anyway!
Anybody else?

Well yes. Sometimes my phone goes completely dead. The first time it happened I tried all things, pressing buttons, checking the battery voltage. The battery was fine. But I tried the charger and the phone switched on. I found the trick with the coin in the forum. I had to use it a couple of times and it does work. I hope you get your phone back soon.
Mine died 3 times. Removing battery for 20 seconds, and charging it again can solve the problem.
Once I let it charging all night, and in the morning was still chargibg. Whent took him out from charging, died instantly. Stange isn`t it?
No, mine is still dead. The charging did not helped me...
Is there anybody from Nokia service? Maybe he can help us.
It could be better if nokia mentioned all these strange behaviour in the last pages of the Nokia 9210i manual. :-?
Hello again! 😃
I took back my 9210i. It's a new device. They have replace it. I hope this one will function better...
