Need for Symbian source code

Hi,

I'm a device driver writer for Symbian OS platform and I had the licenced OEM version of CodeWarrior IDE. Do we need to access the Symbian OS source code to write device drivers as well as with OEM version or it's not necessary to access the source code by being platinum member of Symbian?

The way to get Symbian OS source code is to first for your company to become a Symbian Platinum Partner, and then a DevKit licensee. You will get most of the OS sources that way.

Note, however, that device manufacturers can then further add things to it, remove things from it, disallow things (like installation of device drivers, etc.), so you may in addition also need to partner with the device manufacturer, too.
