I'm having some troubles with the 'Go to' application on my 6260 - I can't find how to actually add anything to it.
In the help files, it says to add a shortcut to it you open the application you want to add something from and scroll to the item you want to add, then press options and "Add to 'Go to'". I can't see this option anywhere in any application.
I was hoping to be able to use this to add a shortcut to the alarm clock and new message and other functions. Is this possible? or a bug?
Firmware is version 3.0.0436.0 03-09-04 RM-25
Thanks.
UPDATE: Browsing through the phone just now I did find the add option in the options menu for a photo I took, but really this feature should work with preinstalled applications on the phone and not just things like images shouldn't it??
Adding things to "Go to" only works for some apps (specifically written to support it). It doesn't work for every app and every feature. If you search the PDF version of the phone's User's Guide (download from http://www.nokia.com/phones/6260), you should be able to find all the apps/options where it works.
Yeah I understand that only certain apps will support it I just expected the preinstalled ones to have more support than this.
I searched the PDF version of the manual like you suggested and it looks like the only applications that support it are the Gallery and Recorder (Apart from the default items in the go to menu of course). That's really disappointing. :frown:
Why couldn't they have made it so you could add anything you wanted through the go to application? Like adding bookmarks to a web browser. Its basically only a list of shortcuts to functions... Seems like its a waste of time the way it is now. :icon13:
Are there any applications that work like 'Go to' but allow you to add almost anything you want? I'm just after a shortcut menu I can add to one of the softkeys when the phone is idle...
Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion, I had a look at it and it seems like an interesting program. 😊
I'll give it a go when I get my bluetooth adapter for the PC.
Still, I'd like to find just a simple shortcuts menu application that can be assigned to one of the soft keys. I'll just have to look harder I think.
Thanks.
