Does the 6600 do some of the functions of a phone in software mode because of the speed of its processor. I mean things like Analogue to Digital and vice versa. Or does the 6600 and other symbian phones do some functions that are usually done in hardware on some older phones in software. Or does the ARM processor have all the hardware functions of the phone built into it?
6600 Emulating Hardware?
The A to D and D to A is all hardware, the 'phone' part is nearly all hardware based with the OS and UI being software.
