BIG Problem With 7710 Help!!

I just recently recieved the 7710 from my friend to sell on Ebay. He gave me everything in the box and last known it was in good working condition. I took it out of the box to turn on to take some pictures of, but to my suprise it didn't turn on! I hit the power button and the screen flashes white but nothing comes up. I put in my Cingular sim card and the 128 mg media card that came with it but nothing! I tried taking out the battery and still the same thing happens. I tried plugging in the AC adapter and trying to turn the phone on like that but NOTHING! Help!!

my reply may come a bit late, but anyhow...

my guess is one of these:

battery is out and cannot be charged anymore, whatever the reason. this means that either the charging circuit of the phone, the battery or the AC adapter is toast. try using another battery or another adapter.

or

software problem: try having the software reinstalled.

i think a trip to the local GMS service is in any case necessary.

goold luck!

Try two things:

1 - Hook up the charger and let the phone charge for several hours, then un-hook the charger and try the power button again

2 - Try to manually format the phone (make a search on this forum for an how-to)

Good luck!
