how can i not use the 3-gprs account on the motorola a1000?

i have an at&t sim card and live in the usa and was wondering how can i not use the 3 network account because i created a new internet account and used the settings that at&t gave me and when i load the browser it asks which account to use either the 3 account which is defaulted on the phone or the one i created. i choose the one i created, but an error comes up saying that it could not find the server three.co.uk so it still is trying to use the 3 account even though i chose the account i created. can someone help me out? is there a way to delete the 3-gprs account from the phone. also i heard if you look in the internal memory using desktop suite there is a file somewhere there that is "QWeb" and i heard that is the default browser. if that is correct if i delete it will that delete the 3-gprs account?

I have just installed defaultgprseditor but still cant connect to o2.
Has anyone tried o2 and suceeded and if so what are the correct settings?

Hi

I think all the A100 handsets in Europe I am aware of are firmware/software set for the Three (3G) Network.

You can get around this issue by flashing your handset to the Generic firmware, which is available on the A1K website:

There may even be an easier way, without flashing? I'm not sure but check out the forum there, you will get your answer for sure - 😉

good luck.

Thanks for that mate much appreciated. It is actually working now. although it is still a bit tempramental.
