Version software 4.14

I am here in Thailand. There is no news about V 4.14 or even V 3.16 at all.

Not in Singapore yet.

J2theIZZO, what changes do you know between 3.12 and 4.14??

V2.03b (Beta Version) - 5/3/02

V3.06 (1st Public Version) Very buggy though - 07/06/02

V3.12 (1st "Stable" version) with known bug of crashing when memory is full - 12/06/02

V3.16 - (Revised to work with Orange, Memory bug fixed) - ?/?/?

V4.14 - (Unknown fixes at this time) - ?/?/?

V4.24 - (Added languge support) - ?/?/?

does 4.14 runs stabil?
any crash downs? is the memory bug fixed like in 3.16, too?
anything new in the menue?

Bug problem is fixed from V3.16 > so yes.

As for new things in the menu, no there is no added functionality.

In theory V4.14 should be more stable than V3.16, but I can't prove this.

What is this mean? having multiple languages at the same times ? Add on language by ourself? or what? any idea !!!

So far I only know one fix for 4.14: you can now turn the speaker volume ALL the way down (mute). 😉

Maybe he means the BT audio profile that is not supported! This is not a bug it is just not a feature of the 7650! 😊

so dose it support arabic language with the 4.24

J2theIZZO: did you get your firmware upgraded from 3.12/3.16 or you bought the phone just rescently?

In one of the earlier posts, it was mentioned that a firmware upgrade resulted in a reduction of the available memory for users. Does the 4.xx upgrade also eat into the user memory? or is it all contained in the ROM?

All i know is that the FW for Singapore up till now is still 3.16.

Its quite different from mine. My FW was 3.16 made on 15-08-02, but the 4.14 was on 14-08-02 instead?

Right, I'll try and answer as many questions as I can remember.

Firstly I'm not running V4.14 I'm still on V3.12, I can't be bothered to update until it's worth doing. I got the picture from a news article I did on V4.14 about a month ago. Someone from this site sent it to me.

As for the added language support, I read about this on forum.nokia.com. And i'm not sure which language, although I assume you can't have more than one language. Maybe just character support for one that wasn't available at the release.

I'm not entirely sure why V4.14 is dated one day before V3.16, this seems very odd to me.

Can anyone else figure this one out??

I remember reading a post on here which said that the 4.xx series were internal beta versions which became 3.xx when they were released to the public.
This would explain why the 4.14 version was dated a day before the 3.16 one, it could be the beta version which became 3.16.

I upgraded my phone to v3.16 from v3.12 - is it actually a good idea to upgrade version numbers???

On my phone there are three languages selectable:
Finnish, Swedish, English.
So I have three languages. 😊
