I have the Nokia 9500 - only about 1 month old now...
Running PC Suite 6.41.6 & Notes 6.5
I use Notes Calendar and Contact heavily from Notes and various Nokia phones (9210 and 6600). After upgrading to the 9500 I have noticed 1 very strange issue...
- Appointment entries in Notes when Sync'ed to the device are out by 1 hour
- Anniversary entries in Notes when Sync'ed to the device are out by 1 day
Have spoken with Nokia, and this is apparently an non-reported issue. Their advice - do a firmware upgrade to v34.0...but of course they have no idea if this will solve the problem
Has anyone else experienced this at all? Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks in advance.
One thing to check is to (on the phone) turn off automatic time updates, automatic daylight savings time stuff and (depending on what the phone allows; I don't have a 9500) also set the GMT offset to 0.
Then make sure that the time & date are correct and close to the time & date on your PC.
Then retry the sync and see if things behave better now (+ report back here in any case so that we know).
Also, make sure that the clock on the 9500 is set to the same time zone as your desktop.
It's a firmware issue. The release notes for firmware 4.51(00) indicates that this issue with Calendar (extra one hour) is addressed.

does it mean that an upgrade to firmware 4.51 resolves this issue, right? on my device there is still 4.44, but i only got the problem after having upgraded pc suite to 6.41.

Yea if you upgrade to v4.51 it will be sorted.

Maybe the software was working in a different way before 6.41 and they changed it so now they have to change it on the 9500.
