6680 compatibility

I live in the US and have service thru T-mobile, will I be able to use the 6680 on tmobile. They should be getting EDGE service in the near future but until then I would still like to get this phone. It says its a tri-band phone so I assume it should, but if anyone could clarify that would be great.

The thing to note is that the 6680 will not work in North America in such areas where your carrier/service provider/operator (or another carrier with which your on carrier has a roaming agreement) only has 850MHz coverage.

In other words, in North America 850MHz or 1900MHz are used.

There rest of the world uses 900MHz or 1800MHz.
