i had a 64mb mmc in my nokia 6600 and could install .jar files to that with no problem.i got a 128mb about a week ago and now it wont let me install java to the card or the phone.it gets up to asking me where i would like to install it and once i select where then it just goes back to the screen before the install menu comes up.
I have no problem storing images, sounds, videos and installing .sis files.
Whats wrong?
Word for word as I replied to you elsewhere:
Where did you get the .jar file or files you are trying to install?
Complete application name (and version, if you know it), filename and possibly also the location (URL) from where you got it (assuming that it is not a cracked/pirated application, in which case I don't care to know)?
Are they actually containing applications intended for your phone?
Note that a .jar file can contain applications for many, different systems and they are not all compatible. In other words, you cannot, for example, install a .jar file containing a Windows application or even an UIQ based phone application - even if UIQ is based on Symbian OS - on a Series 60/Symbian phone. It has to be a very generic MIDP 1.0 or MIDP 2.0 application, or specifically a Series 60 application in the .jar file.
And as i replied. The files are java games & apps like bloover and splinter cell etc.I dont know bloovers version (sorry) and splinter cell hasn't got 1 its just splinter cell.I got them from www.mobango.com and they come as the full version already so they're not cracked or pirated.I understand what you mean by the different versions such as series 60 and uiq but they worked before i got the new card.
