Three months with the 9500

Hi!

I have surfed the forum and found out you are quite experienced with the 9500. There are a few of us with a synchronization problem... and none replied with a solution.

Maybe you can help us. This is what it is basically.

A new formatted 9500 with win xp and outlook 2003. Calendar sync is good.
Contact sync is also good. When I synchronize email with the default of only 1 week back, and ONLY inbox, it works ok. When I change the settings to include 2 weeks back of email or Outbox, the synchronization fails. On the 9500 appears a window with the message: program closed, reason code: KERN-EXEC and reason number: 3

On the Nokia PC Suite the report says: The SyncML Server was unable to insert the following entry to the SyncML Client. We have already tried to install office SP1 and SP 2, but no success.

This is driving us crazy! We will appreciate your help!! 😊

So there's a fundamental software problem at the 9500 end, the PC end is probably fine. Have you tried restarting the 9500? If this doesn't work, do a full backup and then hard reset the 9500, then immediately try syncing without all your apps, add-ins and files. Does this then work? If so, it's something you've added. Restore docs and apps as needed, checking that sync still works.

Hi Steve...

sorry I didn't reply sooner. I haven't tried the hard reset... actually there's no RESET button... how you do it? I will follow your recs and let you know how it works... thanks! 😊

The Problem is in the Diary setup itself. Using the 9210 data, having put the birthday years in anydates before 1980 wont work. I cleared my diary on the 9500, reloaded the software on the compter them syc it worked fine.

I'm facing an issue with synchronizing calendar items from my nokia 9500 to MS Outlook 2002, but the reverse is working. All calendar items from my laptop are transferring to my nokia 9500. I have downloaded the latest PC Suite, but that didn't solve the problem. Any one herd of this problem? I hope to find a solution here.

Thanks.
