I decided I deserved my own thread for this as I do so love avi videos 😊
So if I use the old smartmovie it will play videos but if I try to move the time slider it crashes and returns to the application menu. The phone then needs restarting.
If I use the new one (including the installed codec) I attempt to open the file in sma smartmovie, the screen turns white briefly and then the above happens again.
Any ideas?

(BTW I'm using a brand new 6630 on Orange UK)

use the latest version (v2.72) and see if u got any problem

AHA sussed! The answer is, restrt phone, take memory card out, THEN install. I see what people mean about 6630 having memory card issues!
