3rd Party & Nokia Default Themes

Ive just picked up a nokia 6630 which im quite pleased with so far. Having previously owned a 6600 i want to get some themes on the phone.

I wasnt really impressed by the default nokia effort which doesnt seem to fit well with any custom backgrounds because the menu bar at the bottom is so bright.

I was wondering if there is anywhere you can download the default themes from other nokia symbian phones. My dad has the 6710 which has a nice blue one in the default themes list which i wouldnt mind but i cant work out how to get it off the phone or onto mine.

Otherwise i spose i could use a 3rd party theme. I want somthing thats fairly professional looking & is readable and works well with custom backgrounds.

Ive tried the usual sites like symbianthemes etc but none of them seem to take my fancy.

any help would be great

just looked, but still not managed to find anything i like :/

does anyone have any suggestions for professional looking ones i could look for?

I know what you mean. There are a few good ones on those sites, but most of em are too kiddy. I like the nice clean crisp arty designs, rather than your tv/cartoon/film type stuff.

I'd be interested too if anyone knows of a good site for that type of design.

I'd make my own, but I dont think there are any theme making kits for macs :-/

i download teh theme editor here at work but it keeps giving me willy erros. I'll have a go at home later. Blue themes seem to go well, not too dark or not too bright.

Also am not too keen on the buubble type buttons some themes have.

thanks just installed the win media center ones they look quite nice, not very fond of the icons tho, is there any way i can get the standard ones on that theme?

i know they removed the use icons from another theme option from the latest phones. Is there any way i can pull icons from one and put into a .sis manually?

was one of the first places i looked actually but i find a lot of them are a bit difficult to read or i dont like the design. Thanks for the suggestion tho 😊

I think the main reason there isn't many nice themes is because the Nokia Theme Editor is such a pain to use. It runs like a dog and isn't very intuitive.

well i've also been looking for a more "corporate" theme for my Nokia 6630 but with no luck... i would really like to get my hands on the Nokia 6680 default theme it looks awesome... anyone got some strings to pull to make this available?

i use www.mobango.com you have to register but that is free any way and there is a daily limit approx 8 items a day but it is full of really cool $h1t so take a look i get all my stuff from there.
