6630 - "Database corrupted" / mem card not inserted errors

Hi folks,

I got my new phone on Friday and its been playing up since then. Usually when I go to take a photo it says there is no memory card inserted and it will use phone memory. Today was worse as I went to look in the Gallery to be told that the Database was corrutped. I took the mem card out, turned the phone off and on again and inserted it and all was well.

Obviously this is a PITA and I dont know if its a phone issue or a mem card issue. Is this a known problem with these phones? How can I check what firmware Im running with and how do I upgrade it if its a faulty one?

Many thanks,

Rikki

You can check what the firmware version is by typing *#0000# when the phone is in the standby state (where you'd type a phone number to make a call).

You upgrade by taking/sending the phone to your nearest Nokia authorized service center.

Is this a problem version would you happen to know ?

Many thanks,
